I’m Jamie Lake, a professional full spectrum doula with a decade of experience. I am based in Goshen, Indiana and serve the surrounding Michiana area.

My mother was a midwife so I grew up knowing and understanding birth. She taught me to love how the body worked. She told me all kinds of birth stories and took me along on her Saturday morning rounds when I was in high school.

I attended both of my sisters' births when I was 8 and 10 years old. I have cared for all ages of children as a babysitter, daycare teacher, nanny, and in-home childcare provider. It has always felt natural to step in and help friends and family members during their postpartum periods. I gave birth to my own daughter in 2009 - a planned home birth that turned into a birth center transfer.

I have been a professional doula for a decade and have experience in diverse birth environments, tools, plans, and outcomes. Alongside being a birth and postpartum doula, I am a Reiki practitioner, an Infertility Doula, Parent-Blessing Ceremony Facilitator, and provide sibling support, abortion support, post-adoption support, surgery support, and chronic pain support.

Life Song Doula Care is an ALL inclusive practice. I strongly believes that everyone is entitled to their best birth possible no matter their sexual orientation/identity, age, race, religion/beliefs, physical and/or mental abilities, or where and how they want to give birth.
